Hitting the Books

Poking through the stacks of books in the antiquarian’s shop, you pull out a dusty tome covered in arcane looking runes and pictures of skulls. Your hands shake as you reach down and pull up two more large, heavy books, which look like they haven’t seen the light of day in years. You set them aside on a table and gasp as you look at what was beneath them!

There is a huge book of pure gold, its sheen undimmed by the passing of the years. You look around quickly to make sure no one has noticed your excitement as you heft it up and flip it open immediately. Inside, you catch a glimpse of ancient looking script in some kind of red ink, all embossed with gold on each page. Flipping through to the end, you look for any name that might date this rare find. Then, inscribed on the very last page, you see “Replica- Made in China”.

Tome Good to be True

Well, it is true that finding something like that would be cool nonetheless.
